HANNAH FORMENTERA REVIEW:
Hannah Formentera (previously Casa Pacha Formentera) is owned by the iconic Ibiza institution, Pacha, and similar to the nightclub itself, it is a breathtakingly stylish, outrageously overpriced establishment. Located on Platja Es Arenals, one of the island’s most beautiful Caribbean-esque beaches with crystal clear turquoise waters and white sands, Casa Formentera is a small hotel with just 14 rooms in total. The decor is stunningly aesthetic - curved walls, bleached concrete, linen, and wooden accents dominate the rooms. The comfort of the bed rates very highly for us and the little extras all contributed to a high score (for the first time ever, we have found a hotel that offers free bar snacks (!!), a very quick and thorough cleaning service, room turn down every evening and free shuttles to and from the port). That being said, this hotel was not cheap by any means and we expected more for our money. There is no pool (we can forgive this given the incredible beach location, but still…). There are no other amenities to speak of, aside from a masseuse that can come to your room. But again, this feels less than adequate given the hotel price point. We also found that whilst the hotel staff were nice enough, the standard of service was simply not at the level we would have expected, and we found a lot of the communications from the front desk were often garbled and confusing. The walls were very thin and the drainage system seemed to make a loud clanging noise in the middle of the night. This all may sound like nitpicking, and frankly, when one is paying in the region of €700 per night in September, we feel as though this is justified.
