NIGHT FOX CATSKILLS A-FRAME REVIEW:
There truly is nothing more charming than getting snowed into your Upstate NY AirBnb on a cold January weekend. Which is exactly how we experienced the delightful Night Fox cabin, located in the woods just outside the up-and-coming Catskills town of Livingston Manor. Having been already featured in Vogue, it’s fair to say this scandi-cool, black A frame offers a whole lot of Hygge for your buck. The design-led interior is minimalist, yet cozy. The bed is comfortable, although be warned that as with most Upstate AirBnbs, there are no curtains (you know, so you feel more connected with *nature*). The sofa is perfect for reclining on whilst reading a good book, and the extensive array of board games in the living room allow for a cute technology-free evening of old-fashioned, wholesome fun (and potentially a raging argument, depending on your partner’s competitiveness. Ahem). We loved that the cabin felt isolated enough to feel detached from the real world, yet close enough to Livingston Manor that you can easily pop into the town for breakfast, walk around their small selection of Boutique stores, or go for a drink at natural wine bar, The Colony (which we have heard great things about, but weren’t able to personally frequent, due to the insane blizzard that we keep going on about). Speaking of which, a big shout out to our host for coordinating with her delightful neighbor to help dig us out of the front door and driveway after 2 feet of snow fell in the night. We fully realize that this might all sound just a bit too cliché (cute cabin in the woods, romantic getaway, couple gets snowed in), and it kind of is. So if you’re searching for a place to play out your wildest ‘The Holiday’ dreams, then this is the place to do it.
