Have you ever been to a restaurant that has a seemingly random assortment of dishes on the menu from a multitude of different cuisines, but somehow, and somewhat surprisingly, manages to pull it off? Now imagine the resort version of that. This hotel has a little something for everyone and whilst we will admit, accommodations in this category aren’t our usual style (ie. what one might categorize as the dreaded… all inclusive 😱), we still came away absolutely loving every minute of our stay. Set directly on the shores of the pristine Tubkaek beach, this is a truly magical setting that demands nothing but lazy days, sipping on mojitos and paddling in the warm waters of the Andaman Sea overlooking the Hong Islands. The resort is comprised of 59 rooms (including standalone villas), a large swimming pool, a spa and two restaurants tucked away between the leafy Hang Nak mountain and the beach. The villas themselves are comfortable and modern in style, many featuring private plunge pools and outdoor bathtubs. The food offerings are on the whole, pretty good, and the hotel does offer both a Thai and Italian restaurant (because, as the hotel manager put it - even the biggest fan of Thai food is going to get sick of it after a week). Breakfast is included in the nightly rate and with a dizzying array of hot and cold options, as well as made to order items and an entire menu dedicated to Asian dishes, this was far more impressive than your standard buffet. The hotel offers a wide selection of services at the spa, a variety of health and wellness activities, and can organize any private tour you might fancy, as well as cooking classes, boat trips, hiking… and the list goes on. During our stay we saw families with babies, kids, honeymooners, older and younger couples all enjoying this beautiful resort. Sure, this place could be mistaken for an all inclusive on first arrival, but it is undeniably so much more.
Top Tip: Grab your book, pick your beach front bean bag, bask in the sun, then watch the sunset with a glass of wine.
